Fleet Enema Preparation

Consultation:If you have been instructed to complete a Fleet Enema Preparation for your consultation, you will need two Fleet Enema bottles. These can be purchased over the counter at your local pharmacy. Administer both enemas 1.5 - 2 hours before your appointment, following the instructions on the package.Flexible Sigmoidoscopy:If you have been instructed to complete a Fleet Enema Preparation for your Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, you will need two Fleet Enema bottles. These can be obtained from your local pharmacy using the prescription that has been provided to you. Please carefully follow the instructions given to you.

I have not received my colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy preparation instructions. What should I do?

Preparation instructions are typically provided at least two weeks before your procedure. Depending on your preference, they may be sent by email, provided to you in person, mailed to you, or sent to your pharmacy.If you have not received your preparation instructions and your procedure is less than two weeks away, please contact us at 705-586-0060 or bookings@neorcs.ca. Your prescription is typically provided at least two weeks before your procedure. Depending on your preference, it may be provided to you in person or sent directly to your preferred pharmacy.If you or your pharmacy has not received your prescription and your procedure is less than two weeks away, please contact us at 705-586-0060 or bookings@neorcs.ca.

If I have an ostomy, how do I completely my preparation?

Colonoscopy:Patients with an ostomy should take the bowel preparation by mouth as per the instructions. If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at 705-586-0060 or bookings@neorcs.ca.Flexible Sigmoidoscopy:Patients with an ostomy should administer the Fleet Enema per rectum as per the instructions provided.  If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at 705-586-0060 or bookings@neorcs.ca.
